Art Deco Stiletto

Plakatstil Stiletto

Cubism Stiletto

"Modern Art Styles Stiletto" (Adobe Illustrator CS5/Modern Art Styles/History of Communication Graphics) - The objective of this project was to select an object and incorporate it into three modern art styles including: Art Deco, Plakatstil, and Cubist. Art Deco is the predominant decorative art style of the 1920s and 1930s, characterized by precise and boldly delineated geometric shapes and strong colors, and used most notably in household objects and in architecture. Plakatstil was an early poster style of art that began in the early 1900s and originated out of Germany. The traits of this style of art are usually bold, straight font with flat colors. Cubism is an early 20th-century style and movement in art, especially painting, in which perspective with a single viewpoint was abandoned and use was made of simple geometric shapes, interlocking planes, and, later, collage.
